JobKeeper 2.0 Payment Scheme
The first tranche of JobKeeper has now ended.
Those needing further support will need to reassess their eligibility and prove an actual decline in turnover.
To receive JobKeeper from 28 September 2020, eligible employers need to assess their decline in turnover with reference to actual GST turnover for the September 2020 quarter (for JobKeeper payments between 28 September to 3 January 2021), and again for the December 2020 quarter (for payments between 4 January 2021 to 28 March 2021).
From 28 September 2020, the JobKeeper payment rate will reduce and split into a higher and lower rate based on the number of hours the employee worked in a specific 28 day period prior to 1 March 2020 or 1 July 2020.
Action
You need to make some very important decisions which could have ramifications for you and your business as getting it wrong could mean you have to repay what you receive including interest and penalties.
The risks to you as the client (employer) are quite severe, particularly if you make an error and your turnover is incorrectly reported.
To have the best chance of being successful, we are offering a service to assist you in preparing and lodging your submission. We have already prepared an online form to assist you in providing us with the information that we will need to prepare your application.
Please note, the application is quite complex and a great deal of information is required. We stress that as this is a legal document, you must ensure you submit as accurately as possible and furthermore ensure that your information is consistent with what you share with other Government agencies.
